Type Locality and Naming
Includes in Akbaital-Rangkul region. Distinguished by V. I. Dronov in 1968.

Reference section:
Lithology and Thickness
Dark, rhythmically bedded polymictic sandstones, siltstones, clayey and carbonaceous slates. In the upper part of the section, there are layers and lenses of heterogeneous conglomerates. The thickness of the suite is 2000 m.

Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Overlies conformably onto the Rangkui Fm limestones of Induan into Carnian, or onto the Dzhilgakul suite.
Upper contact
Overlain conformably (but a hiatus is implied by the cited age in some area) by Lower Jurassic-Bajocian sediments. [In the Rankjul region, this would be the sandy claystone of the Kokuybei Fm – assumed here.]
Regional extent
It is spread over the eastern part of the Central Pamir.
